how-to-get-the-last-successful-build-from-tfs

Normally when I’m on a project I write up a little deployment console app to make deploying builds a bit easier (and repeatable!).  The first step in any sort of deployment app is getting the last successful build from your build server.  Here is some code that gets the build information from TFS:

SOAP-over-UDP! Give me some transport invariant love baby!  People who are probably smarter than me have already commented on it:

yesterday-s-nerd-dinner

Didn't have as good of a turn out as expected yesterday.  Kind of a let down.  Not sure if it's spring fever that kept people away or end of quarter project pushes.  Here's hoping that the next one has a better turn out.

I was reading Slashdot today and on of the posts was "Making Money Using Open Source Software?" where GamblerZG asks how you can make money creating Free software.  Yes, it is possible.  Because the FOSS people use "free" differently than you or I do.

ws-messagedelivery-version-1-0

At the office yesterday (at least I think it was yesterday?) we were conversing about client applications informing web services of their "preferred" response delivery.  I came away from the conversation a little skeptical to the entire concept but I decided to do a little digging into it anyway.  Apparently we aren't the first people to think of this (are we ever?) and some members of the W3C have already came up with a specification to handle it.  If your interested in more detail, surf on over to http://www.w3.org/Submission/2004/SUBM-ws-messagedelivery-20040426/.

wow

I'm flattered.  I emailed Scott last night to let him know that I found .Text to be a really cool application, and he posts a link to GeekDojo.  So not only is Scott writing some cool blogging software, but he is also giving out some publicity.  Cool.
