Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m the Director of Enterprise Application Services at Trading Technologies in Chicago, where my teams run the systems that turn trading activity into revenue and keep the business running around it: billing, back office, integration engineering, and service management.
Over more than 20 years in software, I’ve moved from writing code to leading the leaders who ship it, and one belief has stayed constant: technology is only half the equation. The other half is people: supported, clear on what matters, and trusted to do their best work. That’s the spirit I bring to my current focus as well: leading our adoption of AI, taking it from pilot to everyday practice across the company, with the governance to do it responsibly and the follow-through to make it stick.
Outside of work, I’m a lifelong learner and happiest spending time with my family. I have a standing passion for science fiction and fantasy. There’s always another world to get lost in. This site, like its author, runs on iced coffee and sarcasm.
